Evelyn Faye Grob, 57
Evelyn Faye Grob, 57, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Heritage Place in Kalispell.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1953, in Kalispell to Chris and Helen (Benton) Grob. A special needs child, Evelyn grew up on the family farm in Creston and later moved into Kalispell, where she graduated from Flathead High School.
In June 1979, Evelyn was able to move out of the family home and live on her own with the help of Flathead Industries. Evelyn worked at the Flathead Industries Thrift Store until ill health forced her to retire. Evelyn then moved into the Heritage Place, where she had lived and enjoyed life until the time of her death.
Evelyn had a wonderful spirit that shined into the hearts of all who met her. She had an infectious smile that she was never without. Evelyn loved music; she loved to sing and dance and was very artistic. She loved to color and would share her work with anyone.
Evelyn lived life with an enviable happiness that most of us can only pray for. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Evelyn will be deeply missed and always cherished.
Evelyn is survived by her mother, Helen Grob, of Evergreen; four sisters, Sherry Grob of Hammill Valley, Calif., Sheila Grob and her companion, Mike Raymond, of Kalispell, Patty Galloway of Kalispell, and Michelle Daniels and her husband, Scott, of Frenchtown; two brothers, Lewis Grob and Douglas Grob, both of Kalispell; special cousins, Phyliss Leonard and David “Bill” Grob, both of Kalispell; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Chris Grob; one brother, Richard Grob; and one sister, Christine Grob.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, Kalispell. Interment will follow at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow interment. A visitation for Evelyn will be held from noon to 3 p.m. today, Feb. 1, at the funeral home.
