Marijuana 'patients' throw a party

Someone called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Sunday to report receiving a text message about a party for medical marijuana card holders. A deputy made contact at a Ridgewood Drive residence and confirmed that there was a party for card holding “patients.”

There was a report of a pit bull running loose all day in the Martin City area.

Someone reported that about a dozen horses were trotting down the middle of U.S. 2 in the Coram area. Contact was made with the owner, who eventually was successful in rounding up his horses.

An family intervention with a young man on Emmons Canyon Road in the Kila area did not go well, with him leaving the residence and later being detained for a mental health evaluation at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Kalispell Police apprehended a man, 22, who was deemed to be a threat to himself and others after escaping from Pathways mental health facility on Sunday. Officers used a taser when they first apprehended the man on Feb. 11, and Sunday he was taken into custody without incident in a neighborhood near Pathways.

A person calling from the 100 block of Sherry Lane reported someone had shot a dart into her mailbox and she found another dart on her porch.

A boy, 14, was arrested for shoplifting at a business on North Main Street.

A man, 23, was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia on the 1000 block of First Avenue West.

After getting a call reporting a drunk driver, officers located and arrested a man, 60, on 11th Street East and First Avenue East.

There was a report regarding a vehicle being broken into, with credit cards being stolen, on the 600 block of Third Avenue West.

A woman calling from the 300 block of Eighth Avenue West reported that her roommate’s ex-boyfriend was pounding on the door when he has a restraining order against him. He was taken to a different location and warned that if he returned to his ex-girlfriend’s home he would be arrested.

Whitefish investigated a report of a man grabbing a woman’s face and pushing her as she sat in a vehicle in a parking lot off U.S. 93 South of Whitefish.
