Richard 'Dick' P. Strack, 70

Richard “Dick” P. Strack, 70, passed away in Arizona at Danilo Adult Care Home on Feb. 3, 2011, after a long battle with cancer and diabetes.

Dick was born on Feb. 15, 1940, in Kalispell to Mathias and Marcella Strack. He was the oldest of six children. He was raised in Kalispell and attended school at Flathead County High School.

He worked many years as a truck driver for ANR/Garrett Freightlines in Kalispell.

Dick took an early retirement due to a disability. He moved to the warmer climate of Tucson, Ariz., and has resided there for 19 years. He enjoyed his retirement, going to casinos and playing bingo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mathias; his sister, Rita Steinke; brother, Greg; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Dick is survived by his mother, Marcella; sisters, Sharon Burgad and Bob, Kay Petroff and Dennis, and Betty Anderson and Mark. He is also survived by five children, Rebecca, Richard, Gregory, Cynthia and Jeff; and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

The family would like to extend our special thanks to Danilo Adult Care and Hospice of Tucson.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Angel Valley Funeral Home in Tucson. Urn placement will take place at a later date in C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell.
