Cabin Fever Days proves to be too much

A Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputy spoke with a woman on South Fork Road in Martin City after she reported that Cabin Fever Days had been disrupting her life. The woman said a male “dressed as a mountain man” pointed a gun at her and that roads are impassable due to snow brought in for the barstool races.

A woman on Goat Trail outside Whitefish said her 13-year-old granddaughter tried to pull a knife on her and choke her. The woman put the girl in a “scissor-lock” and held her until deputies arrived.

Stalking was reported on Sandy Hill Lane outside Columbia Falls, where a caller claimed to be harassed via eBay.

A man was accused of harassing a 16-year-old girl on Mckenzie Way outside Kalispell.

On U.S. 2 East, a caller said she sold a car to a woman without removing the license plates. The new owner of the vehicle then reportedly crashed it and didn’t tell law enforcement.

On McMannamy Draw, a caller reported seeing horses that were not being fed.

Several belongings were stolen from the home of a resident of Blue Star Ranch Road.

A deputy filed a report after an apparent burglary at a vacant home on Hughes Bay Road in Lakeside.

A citation was issued to the owner of a dog which allegedly bit a boy’s ankle on Wettington Drive.

A woman was reportedly bitten by a cat on Shady Lane.

Extra patrols were requested on Cynthia Drive after someone saw a stranger looking through the window of a trailer.

Kalispell Police Department officers arrested a man for driving under the influence of alcohol and disorderly conduct after he allegedly wielded a bat during an argument on Third Avenue East before getting back in his vehicle.

An officer conducted a civil standby call at a home on Fourth Avenue West where a woman accused a man of throwing her belongings out of a house.

On East Idaho Street, a man reported finding a ladder that was previously stolen from him.

A man on Appleway Drive said the mother of his children was refusing to give him the keys to his vehicle.

A woman on U.S. 93 South reported the violation of a protection order after she said a man drove past her, made a U-turn and threw something at her vehicle.

Harassment was reported on First Avenue West where a caller said a man was threatening to slash the tires of various vehicles.

Suspicious activity was reported after a caller said a man attempted to pick up two boys near the intersection of Third Avenue East and 18th Street East. The caller said the boys declined the man’s offer.

At a business on North Main Street, an employee reported that a group of seven teenagers were using vulgar language and loitering. Two of the boys told an officer they were waiting for a ride, the others were asked to leave.

An inmate in the Flathead County Detention Center filed a report regarding a motorcycle he said was stolen from him.

The occupants of two trucks were seen “partying” in a parking lot near U.S. 93 South.

Theft was alleged at an inn on First Avenue East where a tenant said a T-shirt was stolen from his room.

Identify theft was reported near U.S. 93 South where a man said someone illegally claimed him on their taxes.

An automatic .45 caliber firearm was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle near U.S. 93 South. The owner said the gun was stolen in late December.
