David Hobson, 68
David Hobson, 68, passed away on Feb. 18, 2011.
He was born Jan. 6, 1943, in Mandan, N.D., to Everett and Esther Hobson. When he was a young child he moved with his family to the Flathead Valley, where he remained until his death.
He served two years in the Army as a medic and was stationed in Germany.

David was a lifelong believer in the love and forgiveness of a caring God, and proclaimed Jesus Christ as his Savior.
David joined a 12-step group in 2005 and was a cherished member of the Whitefish group. He devoted his remaining years to helping the newcomers and was chairman of the group’s best campout ever.
David is survived by his brother, Everett; sister, Anita; three children with Linda Hadley Hobson, Michelle, Kimberly and Tim Hobson; and many grandchildren.
He will be missed deeply by his AA family, children, grandkids and his friends at the Veterans Home in Columbia Falls.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at First Presbyterian Church, 301 Central Ave., in Whitefish, with a graveside service to follow at 3 p.m. at Glacier Memorial Gardens, north of Kalispell.
