Alyssa Larraine Burkett, 15

Alyssa Larraine Burkett, 15, passed away Dec. 25, 2010, in Kalispell. 

She was born June 16, 1995, in Las Vegas, and moved to Montana when she was only 6 months old. Alyssa was born a comedian and entertainer, always standing and giving the family speech before the holiday meals.

Alyssa had an enormous circle of friends, some since kindergarten and some new, whom she deeply cherished. Her passions in life included playing guitar, longboarding and above all riding and caring for her grandfather’s horses.

Alyssa was joined in death by her mother, Jaimi Hurlbert.

She is survived by her grandfather, Butch Hurlbert; grandmother, Dawn Hurlbert; brother, Damian Hurlbert; sister, Haley Miller; favorite aunt, Jennifer Hurlbert; and extensive extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at the Christian Center, Kalispell. Interment will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens, Kalispell.

Memorial contributions may be made on Alyssa’s behalf to the Jaimi Hurlbert and Alyssa Burkett Memorial Fund at Three Rivers Bank.
