Mary Jo Grayson, 72
Mary Jo Grayson of Eureka died at home on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011.
Mary Jo was born on July 18, 1938, to Roy and Valentine (Augustyn) Harmening in Hammond, Ind., where she lived and worked for most of her life. She attended school there at St. Casimir and George Rogers Clark.
Mary Jo moved to Montana in 2003 to be near family and to enjoy the beauty of the Bigfork and Eureka areas.
Being an excellent artist, Mary Jo had sketched and painted many enjoyable pieces of work that were enjoyed and cherished by her friends and family. She also enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
In the Hammond area, Mary Jo worked at a variety of jobs. The last several years she worked at the Frontier Bar in Rexford, where she found many new friends and will be missed by her co-workers and special customers.
Mary Jo had a special place in her heart for her pets. She was a supporter of Chicago sports teams and liked rock and roll music. Her Red Hat group was one of the activities Mary Jo enjoyed, and she looked forward to each of the Red Hat gatherings.
Mary Jo is survived by aunts, Margie Harmening of Eureka, Maryann Harmening of Shereville, Ind., and Alfreda Mills of Highland, Ind.; children, Rochelle Stanford and husband Mike, and grandchildren, Jonathon, Eric, Mike and Sean, in the Hammond area; Terry Grayson and wife Gwen of Rexford, and grandchildren, Dawn Fornall, Jonni Paulk, Grady Grayson and Jayci Grayson of Rexford, and Stephanie Utter and Charli Chapman of Moses Lake, Wash.; and Michelle Toth and husband Rodney, and grandson Kyle, of the Hammond area; and many great-grandchildren and cousins in Indiana, Washington and Montana.
Mary Jo requested no services.
