Man pleads innocent to child-porn charges

A 42-year-old Columbia Falls man has pleaded innocent to felony charges of receipt and possession of child pornography.

Kelly Burris entered his plea during a federal court session in Missoula Monday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah Lynch.

He faces a minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum of 20 years of incarceration along with a fine of $250,000 and lifetime supervision if convicted.

He is currently in federal custody after his arrest following an investigation by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Division of Criminal Investigations.
