Robert 'Gordon' Riley, 77
Robert “Gordon” Riley, age 77, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011.
Born in Pennsylvania, Gordon moved to Montana in the ’50s for a forestry internship while attending Penn State University. He later returned to Montana, where he married his wife of 47 years, Ava Lynn Voorhees.
An Army veteran, Gordon spent his adult life in the forestry industry and later land surveying for Marquardt Engineering in Kalispell. After living in many of the western states, Gordon and Ava Lynn chose to return to Eureka to raise their family on the property at Glen Lake.
He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife, particularly hunting and shooting, which he passed on to his sons and grandchildren. He also especially enjoyed his trips to the Pacific Coast to visit nephew Mac McCrory and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ava Lynn.
He is survived by six sons, Rob and Kris, Russ and Barb, Tom and Julie, Jon and Lynn, Scott and Sheila, and Steve and Gillian; 18 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and extended family members.
A memorial will be held at a later date.

His love for Glen Lake was embraced and shared by his children and grandchildren and will continue to be enjoyed for many years to come.
