Search made for aggressive thief

Kalispell Police Department officers searched for a purse snatcher near a parking lot on Hutton Rnach Road after an elderly woman said a young female knocked her over and stole her “pocket book” as she was getting in her vehicle. The elderly woman was bruised, but declined medical treatment.

An attempted burglary was reported at a medical treatment facility on Sunset Boulevard. The unknown suspect was unable to gain entry to the building because of bars over the windows.

Someone drove away from a business on U.S. 93 North without paying for $10.05 in gasoline.

Suspicious activity was reported after a man walked out of a business on North Main Street with a screaming toddler in his arms. An officer spoke with the man, who said the child was upset.

A tenant in an apartment on Two Mile Road was asked to be quiet after a neighbor reported excessive noise.

Two checks were removed from envelopes placed in a mailbox, according to a resident of Sixth Street West.

On Fourth Avenue East, a caller reported suspicious activity after seeing a vehicle in the area over the course of several days. An officer learned it was a private investigator.

A credit car was reported stolen on Wolfpack Way and the unknown thief made several purchases before it was canceled.

A man and woman seen fighting in a vehicle on Heritage Way did not want to press charges after a passerby reported the altercation.

A boy was cited for being in possession of cigarettes on Fourth Avenue West.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office advised a caller to get a protection order after trespassing was reported on Cobbler Village in Kalispell. A man came to the property and stole a “no trespassing” sign, according to the caller.

A woman on Blacklog Lane near Columbia Falls said a man sent her 60 text messages and called her 23 times after she asked him to stop contacting her. She was advised to obtain a protection order.

On U.S. 2 East in Hungry Horse, $1,500 was initially reported stolen from a vehicle parked at a church. The money was later found.

Two dogs were reportedly chasing animals that belong to a woman on Conrad Drive.
