Horse not welcome at local business

Kalispell Police received a call about a horse tied to a pole in front of a business near North Main Street and East Idaho Street. The horse’s owner was later located and cited for leaving the horse alone.

Saturday, a Woodland Park Drive resident reported the theft of a laptop computer from his vehicle.

A woman calling from a North Meridian Road address reported that her 14-year-old son assaulted her and ran away from home.

There was a report of bikes being stolen from a store on U.S. 93 South.

A woman who was being treated at Kalispell Regional Medical Center reported that she had been shoved out of a vehicle on Ninth Street East.

Sunday at about 2:30 a.m., a woman reported that someone had broken into her vehicle and taken some CDs.

Sunday afternoon, there was a report of an intoxicated woman pulling up to a fast food drive-through on U.S. 2 west of Kalispell. She was barely able to keep her eyes open and drove over a curb. She was asked to pull forward to wait for her food, an officer arrived, she was arrested for drunk driving and her vehicle was towed away.

A woman reported that her house on West Wyoming Street had been egged, and that her husband was chasing the suspects in his pickup truck. Two juveniles were caught and released to their parents’ custody.

Monday morning, a cell phone was stolen from a vehicle on Buttercup Loop.

There was a report of a window shattered on a building on South Meridian Road.

A bicycle was stolen from an East Washington Street residence sometime in the last few weeks.

A business owner on First Street West reported that an employee stole a checkbook and has been writing checks all over town. The reporting party believes the suspect is his son.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a woman who claimed that his dog had been stolen from the back of her pickup truck while it was parked at a bar west of Columbia Falls.

There was a report from Hungry Horse regarding a man who allegedly beat a horse over the head with a 2-by-4.

Someone calling from Stag Lane reported that a vehicle had been broken into and some items had been stolen.

There was a report of a purse being stolen from a residence on Deer Creek Road in the Somers area.

A woman calling from Columbia Meadows Drive said her neighbor sprayed her dog with pepper spray when it entered his yard while he was outside mowing the lawn. She did not want to press charges, and the parties involved were counseled.

There was a report of an expensive mountain bike being stolen from a yard on South Cedar Drive.

There was a report of an all-terrain vehicle being stuck and abandoned in a swampy area behind a residence on Trumble Creek Road.
