Carole Ann Cusick, 67

Carole Ann Cusick, 67, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at her residence in Kalispell.

She was born on Nov. 24, 1943, in Leland, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Theressa (Thompson) Bakken.

She was raised in Leland and attended and graduated from Leland High School in 1961.

She moved to Denver to attend college where she met the love of her life, Dave Cusick. They were married on Nov. 29, 1963, in Denver. They had three children, Kristi, Michelle and Dan.

They lived in Helena Flats where they raised their family. Carole was a business woman, a partner in Lindsay and Associates in Kalispell, and also helped develop a very successful magazine, Real Estate Connections.

She loved to travel and she and Dave made many memorable trips to the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii. She enjoyed boating on Flathead Lake and most of all shopping with her girls.

Her biggest joy in life was watching her children and grandchildren play sports and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Bakken and Theressa Bakken; two sisters, Dee Neu and Helen Bailey; and her brother, Gordon Reiman.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Cusick; her three children, Kristi Cusick and Ed Farrar, Michelle Parmelee and husband Russ, and Dan Cusick and wife Beth, and grandchildren, Kyler and Cassidie, all of Kalispell; and two sisters, Marilyn Ranch and family of Denver, and Jessie Mayer of Rudd, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial for Carole will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 15, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church.
