Norma E. Braaten, 86

Norma E. Braaten, 86, passed away in Missoula on May 25, 2011. 

Norma was born March 18, 1925, in Hallock, Minn.

Norma married Arnie Braaten on June 10, 1948, in Kalispell.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Gina Moen; brother, Gordon Moen; sister, Ruth Kolden; and husband, Arnie Braaten. 

She is survived by her brother, Harold Moen; sister, Helen Moen; sons, Gordon and Jan Braaten of Lake Stevens, Wash., and Gary and Larissa Braaten of Spokane; daughter, Helen Braaten, of Arlington, Wash.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. 

The family gives a special thank you for the care given at Pleasant View and to Hospice.

Visitation for Norma will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 3, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, at the Exposition Building at the fairgrounds. Burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
