Local softball players honored

Class A state champion Polson dominated the selections to the Northwestern A all-conference softball first team with seven players honored.

They are: pitcher Shalaina Duford, catcher Kayla Duford, outfielders Kodi Woods and Heidi Rausch, infielders Sallie Sams and Ashley Johnson, and utility player Jessica Bagnell.

Libby was next with three selections - catcher Lexie Hageness and infielders Alysha Martin and Jaime Gilden.

Named first team from Columbia Falls were outfielder Madison Sandefer and infielder Shaun Rowe.

Whitefish had one

selection - infielder Madison Tveidt.

All-conference balloting was done by league coaches.
