This text message really was a prank

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a woman on Conrad Drive who said she received a mysterious text message that said, “I found your number, I’m going to find you.” She canceled the complaint when she learned it was an apparent prank by her roommate.

Two iPods were stolen from the glove box of a vehicle parked on East Evergreen Drive. Someone also reportedly rifled through two other vehicles on the same street.

A log jam was beginning to form in the Whitefish River near Drake Drive in Evergreen Tuesday morning, according to a resident.

Theft was reported by a woman on Airport Road who said her ex-boyfriend stole $400 from a bank account.

A man was arrested for a probation violation after a traffic stop on U.S. 2 East in Hungry Horse.

Two dogs were accused of chasing chickens at a home on Farm to Market Road.

A man on First Avenue Northwest in Hungry Horse said he caught an apparently homeless man in his yard Monday night and chased him away.

Two dogs were run over by a semi truck on Willow Glen Drive. The caller said the driver didn’t stop and that one of the dogs would need to be euthanized.

An intoxicated woman on Cottonwood Drive called 911 because she wanted a ride home.

Two males were seen punching each other on Hungry Horse Boulevard. They were apparently gone when an officer arrived.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report that a teenage boy on Jackson Peak Drive was driving a remote-controlled vehicle that emitted a high-pitch sound into a neighbor’s garage.

The owner of a home on Eighth Avenue West North reported that several items were stolen in an apparent burglary.

A car alarm appeared to have prevented a theft on Teal Drive. A woman said she saw someone running from her vehicle after the alarm sounded Sunday night.
