Intoxicated man at the wrong house
Kalispell Police got a report Sunday from a couple who had an intoxicated man at the door of their house on Third Avenue East. The man would not leave and mistakenly thought he lived at the home. He was taken to the police station to sober up and provide officers with valid directions to where he lives.
A golf ball struck the vehicle of a woman who was driving north on U.S. 93 near the Buffalo Hill golf course. She later located the golfer who hit the ball for insurance purposes.
There was a report of a girl, 15, being out of control at a residence on 10th Avenue West.
A boy, 18, was cited for shoplifting at a business on First Avenue East North.
Monday, shortly after midnight, there was a report of an intoxicated woman refusing to leave and threatening to fight people entering and leaving a casino on U.S. 93 south. The woman, who turned out to be an off-duty employee at the casino, was arrested and taken to the county jail.
At about 2:40 a.m., there was a report from Sixth Avenue East regarding a suspicious man looking into a house, rattling a door handle and trying to enter the home.
There was a report of a disturbance between a man and woman on Sherry Lane, with the man leaving before officers arrived. But he showed up later on, and was taken by an officer to the police station for questioning.
There was a report of a strange woman banging on the front door of a home on Sixth Avenue East. The woman rearranged patio furniture at the house before leaving.
At about 3:19 a.m., there was a report of suspicious people stomping around on the roof of a business on Grandview Drive.
A woman called to report that the screen was ripped off a window of her home on Ninth Avenue West and it appeared that someone had entered the residence.
There was a report of a disturbance between a man and woman at a Lambert Court resident. The parties were counseled.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a man who said his soon-to-be-ex-girlfriend struck his friend, another man, at a residence on Burke Lane in the Columbia Falls area, but it turned out that the woman somehow ended up with a bloody nose.
A suicidal woman was detained near the Old Steel Bridge state park and taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.
There was a report of a cat stuck on top of a telephone pole on Smith Lake Road.
There was a report of two vehicles being broken into on Trail Ridge Road, with some items being stolen.
A man called from a Bernard Road residence to report that a woman he knows drove off with his dog and didn’t have permission to do so. After it became apparent that he sometimes lends her the dog, he was advised not to give the woman any reason to return to his place in the future.
A person calling from Lost Creek Drive reported that a bear had killed a domestic goat, and buried it down a hill near the house.
A woman called to report that her son, 10, and an 11-year-old friend had broken into a garage in the Plentywood Drive area and spray painted the inside. She requested a deputy to speak with the boys.
A man called from East Evergreen Drive to report that his live-in girlfriend broke out the front window of his house.
