Caretaker not necessarily taking care
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office heard from a caller in Arizona who said he gave the keys to a condo on Bridge Street near Bigfork to a man he hired as a caretaker. The caller said he has since learned that the man is letting people live in the condo.
A man was reportedly knocked out during a fight in front of a business on U.S. 2 West in Columbia Falls at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. The fight reportedly began when the man attempted to take a sign from the business. Two vehicles left the scene before deputies arrived.
Someone stole a motorcycle from a home on Anderson Lane.
An argument between a garbage truck driver and a man on Montana 35 apparently escalated when the man took the driver’s keys.
The mother of a woman who owns a trailer on Frontage Road reported that the trailer had been severely damaged. Windows were shattered and writing was found on a door and walls inside the trailer. The owner is currently wanted for an outstanding warrant. Deputies told the woman’s mother to have her daughter call.
A caller on U.S. 2 East said a man would not return a vehicle that was loaned to him three days ago.
On Park Avenue, a man said his ex-wife threatened in a voicemail to “make sure he goes away.”
The Kalispell Police Department received a report of a fight in Woodland Park where a woman said her boyfriend was assaulted by a man who was high on meth at about 9 p.m. Monday.
Reckless driving was reported on U.S. 93 South where a caller reported seeing a semitruck drive through a red light and run three vehicles off the road.
A caller on Carnegie Drive said he or she was being harassed by a woman who has been sending text messages for the last two months.
A fight involving a large group of people was reported at the intersection of East Center Street and Third Avenue West later Monday night. Officers determined the fight was verbal only.
A woman on Kenway Drive called 911 to report that her brother had attacked their mother with a chair.
Suspicious activity was reported on U.S. 2 West where a caller reported seeing a vehicle similar to one driven by a known fugitive.
Graffiti was found on a fence on Glenwood Drive.
A possibly counterfeit $100 bill was reported by a business on West Idaho Street.
Two bicycles were stolen from a residence on Third Avenue West.
