'Minding Your Health' course offered
A presentation designed for professionals in the fields of mental health, human services, health care and education will be offered June 24 through the Continuing Education Center at Flathead Valley Community College. “Minding Your Mental Health” will be presented by psychologist Keith Mauthe from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $69.
Topics including the symptoms and treatment of psychological disorders will be presented and discussed with the goal of successful prevention, intervention and restoration of a person’s mental health.
Mauthe will address how to identify the characteristics of mental health to determine when a person needs mental health services, what these services and interventions are and where they can be provided and delivered.
Mauthe has more than 30 years of experience as a psychologist in a private practice and supervisor in a mental health center, and as a former college instructor.
He has provided staff training and professional development presentations for human services, educational and organizational personnel throughout his career.
Licensed clinical professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family counselors and licensed addiction counselors who complete this seminar will receive six Continuing Education Credits.
