Robert W. Brooks Jr., 58
Robert W. Brooks Jr. (known to his family as Bobby or Beto) died at Life Care Hospital of Pittsburgh March 24, 2011, after a valiant six-week struggle to overcome catastrophic complications from a Chron’s disease episode.
Bobby was born May 3, 1952, at Fort Monmouth Army Hospital in New Jersey. His parents were living in Highland Park, N.J., at the time of his birth.
Bobby graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas El Paso December 1975. From there he used his brilliant mind in lucrative engineering positions. At the time of his death, he was working for CS Innovations (a Westinghouse Electric Company) out of Scottsdale, Ariz., where he resided. He was working as a consultant for this company in Pittsburgh when he became ill.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Brooks Sr.
He is survived by his son, Nigel Brooks, of Hawaii; his mother, Delsie Brooks, of Kalispell; his sister, Lynda, and Galen Huffman, of Kalispell; his sister, Jenifer, and Morris Huffman, of Kalispell; his brother, Randall, and Lupita Brooks, of Devils Tower, Wyo.; his sister, Stephanie, and Bryan Goldizen, of Kalispell; two nieces and two nephews; two great-nephews and a great-niece; and his good friend, Gary Armstrong, of Scottsdale. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Rufus.
His memorial service will be held graveside at 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
