Too much horsing around for police
The Kalispell Police Department received a report Saturday afternoon from a woman on a horse who said she was being harassed by a man near Cemetery Road and U.S. 93 South. The parties were counseled. Later, at about 10:30 p.m., a woman was accused of stealing from a store on U.S. 93 South, and her horse was taken to the county animal shelter.
There was a report of a man driving up to the county fairgrounds on Meridian Road, getting upset because of a fee for the monster truck show, spinning out and losing a television out of the back of his truck.
There was a report from Eighth Street West regarding a physical disturbance and someone's wrist possibly being injured.
Sunday morning, there was a report of a van's sliding door window being broken out on East California Street.
The Montana Department of Transportation reported a mudslide on Montana 35 at milepost 10.5 northeast of Polson Sunday afternoon. The slide brought mud and water over the highway, reducing it to single-lane traffic with travel delays. Emergency personnel and flaggers were dispatched to the scene, with motorists advised to watch for delays between milepost 9 and milepost 10.5 while the slide debris was being removed.
