Ronald James Evans, 60

Ronald James Evans “left this life” June 15, 2011.

He was born in El Paso, Texas, Oct. 22, 1950, and grew up an "Army brat," graduating in 1968 from high school in Colorado Springs.

He was the first class president of Flathead Valley Community College, and graduated from Rocky Mountain College with a degree in political science/history/economics.

He served in the Army up to SPC5 in Germany close to where he'd lived as a youth, during which time he married Susan Canon. He went to Officers Candidate School and finished his Army career as a first lieutenant in Colorado Springs. He then became a financial advisor.

He loved fishing, antiquing, and his family.

He is survived by daughter, Cpl. Jennifer Evans; and sons, Cpl. Marshall Ennans and Jessie, and Sgt. David Evans; and former wife, Susan Evans.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 29, at Woodland Park, in The Rose Garden.
