Sitting on drunk man is only solution
Kalispell Police got a report Sunday night regarding a very intoxicated man at a bar on U.S. 93 South who was being so combative with other patrons that they had sit on him to make him settle down. The man was eventually walked home by a sober person.
There was a report of two women involved in a loud shouting match on Seventh Avenue West over a recent loss in their family.
Two people who voluntarily showed up in the police department lobby were both arrested on felony warrants.
Someone reported that a woman was drinking beer in Depot Park, where she has recently been sleeping in the bathrooms. The woman did not have an open container when an officer arrived, but she was advised not to open remaining cans of beer and to stop sleeping in the bathrooms. But late Sunday night, she was found in the bathrooms again, and advised that she would be arrested for criminal trespass if she returns.
A woman called from a 14th Street East address to report that an unknown person had been beating on her door. She requested an extra patrol.
Early Monday, just before 1 a.m., there was a report of a bicycle being stolen from a parking lot on Airport Road.
Just after 6 a.m., there was a report of a safe mysteriously missing from a building on North Meridian Road, but the door was locked and an alarm had not been triggered.
The guest of a North Main Street hotel reported that a strange woman had gained entry to a car and slept there all night.
There was a report of an intoxicated female, carrying two beers in her hand, walking out of a business on North Main Street with food she didn’t pay for. Someone caught her, however, and she did pay for the food.
A man reported that his teenage son had been assaulted and a vehicle had been damaged in a local park sometime Sunday.
A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Sunday morning to report that someone knocked down her tepee on Mountain View Drive sometime Sunday night, and she reported that she has recently been receiving threatening phone calls.
A woman calling from Caroline Road reported that her mailbox had been blown up, claiming her neighbor did it, and it’s the second time it has happened.
There was a report from a Seventh Avenue East North address in the Columbia Falls area regarding a vehicle that had been stolen sometime since Saturday.
A woman calling from a Shady Lane address in Evergreen reported that her boyfriend had taken her dog after a recent altercation that had prompted the two to separate.
There was a report of stop sign being stolen from the corner of Edgewood Drive and East Evergreen Road.
A man calling from North Hilltop Road near Columbia Falls reported that his stepfather struck him in the throat and that his vehicle was being damaged by his stepfather’s horses. The parties were separated and no one wanted to pursue charges.
There was a report from a West Cottonwood Drive address regarding a teenage boy who ripped an elk head mount off a wall, striking his father with it.
