Domestic dispute ends with man sleeping in car

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies spoke with a man near Montana 35 after a woman reported that he came home intoxicated and began yelling at her. She said he punched himself in the face and said he would tell officers she did it. The man agreed to sleep in his vehicle for the night after the report at about 12:50 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies were unable to locate the apparently intoxicated occupants of a vehicle who were asked to leave a a restaurant because they were drunk. A caller reported the men were angry that employees would not give them free food.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of partner/family member assault after it was reported that he was slamming doors, yelling and creating a disturbance on Helena Flats Road at about 7:50 a.m. Tuesday.

Mailboxes were reportedly vandalized on Somerset Drive.

Criminal mischief was reported on Big Mountain Road outside Whitefish where a caller said numerous vehicles had been broken into over a course of several days.

A dog was apparently chasing horses and rummaging through garbage on Sweebee Lane near Columbia Falls.

On West Evergreen Drive, a dog was seen chasing chickens.

Deputies were asked to investigate the owner of a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit-and-run collision in North Carolina.

A motorcycle reported stolen by someone near U.S. 2 West in Kila was located a short time later.

The owner of a business on US. 2 East in Hungry Horse reported having surveillance footage of a juvenile stealing from the business.

Deputies were asked to check in on a group of children who were reportedly staying alone at a house with weapons and a “vicious wolf dog” on Jellison Road.

A laptop computer was reported stolen from a home on Harmony Road.

Parents were counseled on North Hilltop Road outside Columbia Falls after it was reported at about 4:10 p.m. that their 12-year-old daughter was ranting,throwing things and destroying property.

A deputy responded to a report of an unrult 7-year-old boy at a home on Willow Glen Drive at about 5:33 p.m.

Fraud was reported on Trumble Creek Road where a caller said someone was using a credit cared in Virginia without authorization.

Theft was reported on Montana 40 west of Columbia Falls were a woman accused her estranged husband of stealing a remote control car and a television from a storage unit.

A physical disturbance was reported on U.S. 93 South at about 10 p.m. when a woman said she heard a man and woman fighting in a nearby home. The woman told a deputy she is hard of hearing which is why the argument was so loud.

Money was reported stolen from a vehicle on Edgewood Drive.

Kalispell Police Department officers arrested a 41-year-old man for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol after a caller said he swerved off the road and nearly collided with a woman and her children at the intersection of Airport Road and Merganser Drive at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday.

A man on East Idaho Street wanted to preemptively report that he fired a woman who then began making sexual harassment allegations against him. He was advised that it was a civil issue.

Reckless was driving was reported at the intersection of North Meridian Road and Liberty Street where caller said the driver of a pickup truck ran stoplight and almost collided with a pedestrian. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

A man on Eight Avenue West was taken to a friend’s home after his girlfriend reported that he came home drunk and began yelling at her and throwing things.

A 15-year-old girl on Lehi Lane said her mother assaulted her.

A hit-and-run collision was reported on Three Mile Drive.

At the intersection of Seventh Avenue East North and East Oregon Street, a boy was seen walking while wearing shorts and no shirt at about 12:07 p.m. Wednesday. The mother picked up the boy who was apparently upset over a custody dispute.

A woman on First Street West reported that a man took a cellular phone from her vehicle, and returned it when she approached him about it.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of a hit-and-run collision on East Fourth Street.

Two hit-and-run collisions were also reported on U.S. 93 South.

Criminal mischief was reported on U.S. 93 West.

A physical disturbance was reported on Wisconsin Avenue.

Suspicious activity was reported on Colorado Avenue.
