Several vehicles targeted by thieves

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of thefts from vehicles Thursday morning.

There were two reports of theft from vehicles on Spring Creek Road and another on Mountain View Drive. A GPS unit was reported stolen from a vehicle on Meadowlark Drive. Someone stole a pair of two-way radios from an unlocked vehicle on East Evergreen Drive.

A man on Solberg Drive reported Wednesday at 6:15 a.m. that someone had stolen items from a building on his property

On South Hilltop Road near Columbia Falls, a woman said she was cornered by two dogs while she checked her mail.

Dogs reportedly killed chickens on Bowdish Road.

A West Valley Acres resident reported being harassed by a neighbor over a barking dog.

Fraud was alleged near U.S. 2 east of Kalispell where a business owner reported that someone agreed to be an investor in the business, asked for transaction fees in advance and is now asking for more money.

A man and woman at a home on First Avenue South in Hungry Horse provided dueling accounts of harassment after a dispute that began because the woman is moving out of the home.

Reckless driving was reported on U.S. 93 South where a caller said the driver of a Cadillac forces two vehicles to the side and passed them in the middle of the two-lane roadway.

Embezzlement was reported by someone on Conrad Drive.

A man and woman on East Evergreen Drive agreed to separate for the night after the woman reported that the man was creating a  disturbance at about 4:07 p.m. Wednesday.

Disorderly conduct was reported on South Woodland Drive at about 5:40 p.m. after a woman said her 15-year-old daughter, who was just released from a detention center, was screaming and acting uncontrollably.

A 15-year-old girl on Wildcat Road was reported as a runaway after failing to return home from school.

Extra patrols were requested on Shady Lane after a woman reported at 9:44 p.m. that it was getting “eerie” there.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of children throwing snowballs packed with rocks at vehicles on First Avenue West at about 4 p.m. Wednesday. A second caller said that he talked to the children and that they apologized to him.

The owner of a vehicle parked on West Oregon Street reported that someone tried to break into the vehicle but ran when yelled at. Officers were unable to locate the male suspect.

Possible check fraud was reported by someone on Sixth Avenue West.

A man was told not to return to a business on First Avenue East North after it was reported that he was harassing his estranged wife there.

A hit-and-run collision was reported in a parking lot near South Main Street where a woman said her Volvo was struck by a white Cadillac.

Theft was reported on Glenwood Drive where a man reported that two women stole money from him when he left them alone in a room.

A toolbox was reported stolen from the bed of a pickup truck in a parking lot near North Main Street.
