Reported litterer can't be found

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate a man who was reportedly seen throwing a large knife and a plastic shopping bag out the window of his vehicle while driving on Montana 35 in Evergreen Thursday at about 12:30 p.m.

On Cobbler Way, a 17-year-old boy said he was “friended” by a man on Facebook who claims to be a member of the Insane Clown Posse. The caller said he doesn’t think the man is who he says he is.

A deputy arrested a man on a felony warrant at the Flathead County Justice Center on South Main Street as he was preparing to be sentenced for another  felony conviction.

Reckless driving was reported on West Reserve Drive, where a woman said a man driving a truck in front of her slammed on his brakes at an intersection and then yelled at her for following too close.

A man on Mountain View Drive complained that a neighbor’s dogs were being allowed to run loose and defecate in his yard.

On Badger Hollow Trail in Marion, a caller threatened to shoot two dogs after they apparently broke into a cage and killed a rabbit.

A man on Halfmoon Road near Columbia Falls accused a woman of stealing his Pomeranian dog.

Someone in West Valley Acres reported a barking dog for the fifth time in four days.

Merchandise was reported stolen from a business on Nucleus Avenue in Columbia Falls.

A man reported that he lost his wallet while ice fishing on Bitterroot Lake near Marion.

Children were accused of harassing dogs through a fence near U.S. 93 south of Whitefish.

Criminal mischief was reported at a business on U.S. 2 East in Evergreen Thursday at about 3:35 p.m. after an employee found tracks leading through a hole that had been cut in a fence.

A resident of Bear Creek Road in Bigfork found a tarp and suspected someone was living on U.S. Forest Service land. A deputy was unable to find the tarp.

Someone requested that a deputy check on the welfare of three children who are reportedly living in a warehouse with their father on U.S. 2 East. A deputy was unable to make contact with anyone at the warehouse.

Criminal mischief was reported on Trumble Creek Road, where someone damaged a mailbox with a board.

A Kalispell Police officer spoke with a bus driver after a juvenile rider allegedly got off the bus near the intersection of Fifth Avenue East North and East Washington Street and “mooned” several people.

A stolen truck was found near the fairgrounds off U.S. 2 West at 4:21 a.m. Thursday. The white Ford truck was found on top of a fire hydrant.

A semi-truck struck a gas line off U.S. 93 North at about 6:30 a.m. Friday. No one was injured, and responders shut down the flow of gas.

A bus driver reported that a silver sports utility vehicle cuts him off at the intersection of East Idaho Street and North Main Street every day.

A hit-and-run collision was reported on West Nevada Street, where someone collided with a Chevrolet Cobalt that was parked along the street.

On Northwest Lane, a woman reported that his daughter’s iPod had been stolen at school.

Suspicious activity was reported in Woodland Park, where a caller heard what sounded like kids shooting paintball guns.

Someone apparently shot through a window with a paintball gun at a business on North Main Street.

A concerned parent reported that her 16-year-old daughter and other Glacier High School students were given pills by a classmate. The issue was referred to the school’s resource officer.

Suspicious activity was reported on Sixth Avenue East North, where a caller reported seeing a man pointing a handgun through a window from inside his house.

Burglary was reported at a business on First Avenue West Friday at about 8:20 a.m.
