Mary Patricia 'Pat' Coddington, 89

Mary Patricia "Pat" Coddington, 89, of Springfield, Ill., formerly of Petersburg, Ill, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1922, in Kalispell, to Dr. Hugh E. and Lotetta Reiman Houston.

She married Clyde W. "Wally" Coddington on March 1, 1947. The couple spent the next several years in numerous places in the U.S. and foreign countries, while Clyde was an U.S. Air Force officer. In their retirement years they lived on Lake Petersburg. He preceded her in death.

Pat was a homemaker. She attended Kalispell schools, the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minn., and University of Idaho.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Hugh E. Houston; sisters, Gretchen Chase and Virginia Gay; and nephew, George Gay.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Ginger Lopez of New Jersey.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 25, at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded.
