Virgil Emmett Kaski, 84

Virgil Emmett Kaski, 84, passed away March 6, 2011, at the Brendan House in Kalispell.

Virgil was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Brantwood, Wis., to Hemmie and Amelia (Berhow) Kaski.

He married Ruth Pekkala in 1950 in Detroit. They had seven children, Peter and his wife, Nellie, Kaski of Vancouver, Wash.; James and his wife, Eileen, Kaski of Battle Ground, Wash.; Beth Kaski of Vancouver; Mark and his wife, Ulla, Kaski of Rollins; and Tom and his wife, Sydney, Kaski of Yacolt, Wash.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Kaskim, of Sun Prairie, Wis.; two sisters, Doris Lee of Battle Ground, Wash., and Ardith Rosenlund of Yacolt, Wash.; and many Christian friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters; and his sons, Virgil and Eric.

 Virgil served in the U.S. Army overseas after World War II. He was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.

Visitation for Virgil will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March  10, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 11, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Lakeside, with Thor Jakola and Rod Uskoski officiating. Burial will follow at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
