Teen arrested for attempted car theft

Kalispell Police Department officers arrested a 16-year-old girl after she allegedly attempted to steal a family member’s vehicle on North Meridian Road at about noon Wednesday. The girl reportedly dragged a man who was attempting to stop her until she hit a snow bank and was pulled from the vehicle.

Officers received a report of an African-American man attempting to lure a girl to his vehicle as she waited at a bus stop on Airport Road at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.

A 15-year-old girl was returned to her grandmother after she was reported as a runaway on East Washington Street.

At a business on Liberty Street, an employee reported that a customer left after taking money that didn’t belong to her.

A man took custody of a child on Windward Way after reporting that the child’s mother was being neglectful.

Officers separated a man and woman who were both intoxicated after it was reported they were arguing on Crestline Avenue.

On Ponderosa Street, a man said a front door that he keeps locked has repeatedly been unlocked when he returns home. He suspected a former tenant was returning to the home.

Disorderly conduct was reported at a business on North Meridian Road where an employee said a man was refusing to leave. The man left prior to the arrival of an officer.

A man was arrested for an outstanding warrant after an employee at a business on U.S. 2 West reported the man was intoxicated and looked like he had been in a fight.

Burglary was reported at a residence on First Street West at about 10:28 a.m. Wednesday after a woman said she noticed a broken window. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Suspicious activity was reported on Fifth Avenue East where a woman said two men came to her home while she was gone and were allowed by her son to look in her basement. The woman said she doesn’t know who the men were.

Fraud was alleged on Second Avenue East. A man said someone used his information to establish a telephone account.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report on Gordon Avenue outside Columbia Falls from a person accusing a woman of shoplifting thousands of dollars in merchandise from a variety of businesses over a long period of time.

A woman on Three Eagle Lane in Bigfork was counseled after reporting that a neighbor constantly drives by and displays obscene gestures. She said the neighbor did it three times in one day.

Criminal mischief was reported on Bridge Street in Bigfork where where several flower boxes were apparently damaged.

Tires were stolen from a business on U.S. 2 East in Evergreen. A caller said someone cut through a fence to gain access to the tires.

A dog was taken to a shelter after it was reported that the excited animal had knocked over several children on a playground on Commerce Street in Bigfork.

On Scenic Drive, a caller said a neighbor had hazardous material in their yard.

A stolen vehicle was found on Walsh Road outside Columbia Falls.

Someone stole a wallet and jacket from an unlocked vehicle on Garden Drive.

A man on West Reserve Drive said he was getting threatening messages from a woman he was married to “a long, long time ago.”
