Alternator accident source of blood

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of suspicious activity at a vehicle-repair business near U.S. 93 west of Whitefish, where the owner reported finding blood near the engine of a truck. A deputy spoke to the owner of the vehicle, who said her daughter’s hair got caught in the alternator on Monday while she was changing its oil. A deputy called the Kalispell Regional Medical Center where a nurse confirmed the woman’s story.

A woman on King’s Loop in Evergreen reported that a man broke into her home and threw a bottle at her Wednesday at about 5 p.m. He was gone when a deputy arrived.

A man on Coram Stage Road in Coram reported that he received a death threat from a man who is unhappy with his friendship with the man’s wife.

The buyer of a vehicle on Pheasant Drive reported that the person he bought it from is “doing shady business deals.”

A saddle was reported stolen on South Main Street.

A sickly looking cat was reportedly growling at a woman living at a home near U.S. 93 south of Whitefish.

A verbal disturbance was reported between a man and a woman on Danielson Road. The woman said the man held her hand down, but didn’t assault her. The pair was separated for the night.

On Halfmoon Road outside Columbia Falls, a woman said a friend of her husband’s forced her way into their house, causing her arm to bruise. The man left before a deputy arrived.

Kalispell Police Department officers arrested a man on suspicion of theft after a foot pursuit that began on Montclair Drive and ended near River Road in Evergreen at about 10:54 a.m. Thursday. The man was allegedly selling stolen items when a passerby reported him. He’s also a suspect in the theft of several hundred pounds of stolen wire.

An officer arrested a man at a home near Montana 35 after the apparently intoxicated man punched his 15-year-old son. The man said the boy asked him to punch him, so he did.

A woman was caught shoplifting at a business on U.S. 93 North Wednesday at about 3:15 p.m.

Trespassing was reported on South Main Street where a man refused to leave a salon. He eventually left and was counseled by an officer.

Brake-light covers were reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked near Hutton Ranch Road.

Harassment was reported on Rosewood Drive where a woman said her ex-husband and his girlfriend were harassing her via the Internet.

Someone stole a cooler from a vehicle parked near U.S. 93 South.

A woman was warned not to return to a residence on Eighth Street East after she reportedly pounded on her ex-boyfriend’s door for about 15 minutes.

An officer questioned a teenage boy found sleeping in the lobby of a business on Second Avenue West Thursday at about 4 a.m.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested while attending class at Glacier High School Thursday for a warrant that originated in Idaho.

An employee at a restaurant on North Main Street reported receiving several phone calls from a caller who repeatedly swears at employees.
