Kalispell teams eliminated at state

BUTTE — Both Kalispell teams fell in loser-out games Friday morning to be eliminated from the Class AA boys state basketball tournament.

The Hellgate Knights defeated the Flathead Braves 60-41 in the opening game while the Sentinel Spartans outlasted the Glacier Wolfpack in overtime, 46-44, in the second game of the morning.

The losses send both teams home early; Glacier and Flathead each lost opening-round games on Thursday.

Glacier entered the tournament as the top seed in Western AA; Flathead had the fourth seed from Western AA.
