Robbers wanted prescription pills

Flathead Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man and woman after they allegedly forced their way into a residence on Middle Road outside Columbia Falls Thursday, threatened a woman inside and demanded prescription pills. When she didn’t provide the medications, they allegedly assaulted her. She was taken to the hospital by her husband, who said she had bruises on her face and had been kicked.

Deputies arrested a 67-year-old man for outstanding warrants after a woman on Bierney Creek Road reported that she had punched him in the nose after he tried to have sexual contact with her Thursday at about 9:30 p.m.

A 10-year-old boy was found safe after his mother reported him missing at their home near U.S. 93 south of Whitefish at about 7:28 p.m. Thursday. The boy, who was found across the highway from his home, had left with a backpack full of belongings because he was angry.

Someone entered a trailer through a window on Ashley Lake Road. The owner wasn’t sure what was missing.

A man on Graham Lane near Whitefish reported that his sister’s dogs were chasing children at a bus stop. He said he has spoken to his sister but that she won’t contain the dogs.

On Alpine Drive in Bigfork, a woman reported that her 16-year-old son was sent to stay with a man who was supposed to help him with his grades and school attendance. She said she learned the man’s house is “full of drugs.”

A deputy assisted a woman on Fairview Cemetery Road near Columbia Falls, where she reported that she had inadvertently locked her baby inside the house.

The owner of horses on Middle Road outside Columbia Falls promised to feed them after someone reported they had no food.

Mail was reportedly stolen on Echo Cabin Loop near Bigfork.

A woman on Tamarack Lane near Columbia Falls said she can hear animals fighting under her shed every night. She suspected they were feral cats, but said she is disabled and can’t set a trap.

At a home near the intersection of Church Drive and West Valley Drive, someone reported that a woman tasked with watching animals after a barn flooded was refusing to return them to their owner.

Suspicious activity was reported at a motel on Montana 35 where a man was seen attempting to open the doors of several rooms. An officer spoke to the apparently confused man and told him to return to the motel office to find out which room was his.

A man was accused of violating a protection order after he allegedly went to a woman’s place of work on U.S. 93 South and harassed her.

A deputy counseled a caller on Old Highway 2 East who ordered a mobile home on the Internet but didn’t receive it.

A man was accused of exposing himself while on a train in Whitefish at about 10 p.m. Thursday. He made new travel arrangements after being told he was no longer welcome on the train.

Deputies arrested a man for partner/family member assault on Shelter Valley Drive after he allegedly hit his girlfriend and got in a fight with her dad.

The Kalispell Police Department responded to a theft on Meadow Vista Loop Thursday at about 3:40 p.m. after two furnaces valued at more than $10,000 were reported stolen from an unfinished apartment complex.

A man on Lambert Court was arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother.

Theft was alleged on East Idaho Street where a caller said $200 was stolen from his or her “stash.”

A man on Fairview Drive didn’t want to press charges after his wife reported he had been pushed off a porch by another man during a dispute over money.

Two bulldogs were taken to a shelter after they allegedly charged an officer on First Avenue West.

A 2-year-old girl was returned home after she was found walking down the middle of Jackson Peak Drive.

A man was arrested for assault at a business near U.S. 93 South after his wife reported that he hit her and took her car keys Friday at about midnight.

Two men were accused of attempting sell someone drugs on Treeline Road. The caller didn’t provide a good enough description of the men for an officer to investigate the incident.

Three juvenile boys were released to their parents after being caught shoplifting at a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

Montana Highway Patrol troopers responded to a rollover crash at the intersection of Lake Blaine and Foothill roads Friday afternoon. A 17-year-old boy was treated for various injuries after rolling his Jeep Cherokee.
