Beer can throwers disappeared

Kalispell Police Department received a report of someone throwing a beer can into a woman’s sport utility vehicle as she drove south on U.S. 93 near Grandview Drive Friday at about 10:40 p.m. Officers were unable to find the vehicle, which was occupied by two men and registered to a Polson resident.

Law enforcement officials searched for a man who was seen throwing someone out of a truck on Shady Lane Friday at about 10:40 p.m. The man, who reportedly had a knife, ran and was last seen hiding in a shelter near Montana 35.

Officers logged license plate numbers at a party on Fifth Avenue East, where at least two young men were arrested for being minors in possession of alcohol. The occupants of the home refused to open the door for officers after the initial report of underage drinking at about 11:55 Friday. Officers eventually were given permission to enter the residence by the owner.

A woman on Ashley Drive said she couldn’t go to her mailbox because two dogs kept charging her.

A woman on First Avenue West asked for extra patrols in her neighborhood after a transient she gave a ride to several days before arrived at her home. She said she never told him where she lives but that he recognized her car in the driveway.

Theft was alleged on Fifth Avenue West where someone reported that ink cartridges were fraudulently purchased with a credit card.

Officers searched for a woman accused of theft at a business on Hutton Ranch Road Friday at about 4 p.m. She fled and was last seen getting in a white truck.

A man was arrested for an outstanding warrant on Sunset Boulevard.

Stalking was alleged on First Avenue West North.

A teenage boy was caught shoplifting at a business on U.S. 93 South.

Two teenage girls were not cited after they were reportedly caught stealing body jewelry at a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

Officers were unable to locate a man who allegedly stole a television and a bag of dog food from a business on Hutton Ranch Road Friday at about 10 p.m.

A woman on Greendale Court accused her goddaughter of coming to Kalispell every two weeks to sell drugs.

A woman was escorted to her vehicle in a parking lot on North Main Street after reporting that a suspicious man was standing next to her vehicle.

A hit-and-run collision was reported on Greatview Drive where a man said someone side-swiped his Ford Escort.

Criminal mischief was reported on U.S. 2 East after someone noticed a planter had been damaged.

The passenger-side window was broken out of a vehicle parked overnight near North Main Street.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of theft on U.S. 2 East near Columbia Falls, Vista Lane in Bigfork, U.S. 93 South near Whitefish and Elk Street in Coram.

Fraud was alleged by someone on Trap Road in Columbia Falls.

Harassment was reported on U.S. 2 East in Hungry Horse.

There was a report of a vicious animal on Trumble Creek Road.

Trespassing was reported by a resident of Helena Flats Court.

A deputy wrote a report after responding to an apparent burglary on U.S. 2 East.

Someone reported animal cruelty on West Reserve Drive.

Whitefish Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle on Monterra Avenue at about 2 a.m. Friday.

Theft was reported on Glenwood Road.

Someone reported a fight on East Second Street.

Suspicious activity was reported on Wisconsin Avenue.
