Shirley Ann Gove, 74

Shirley Ann Gove, 74, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at the home of her son in Columbia Falls.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1937, in Kalispell to William and Ruth (Eastlick) Buck.

Shirley married Richard F. Gove on Sept. 16, 1956, in Stevensville. She was a very devoted wife and mother of seven children. Her family was her career.

Shirley had a love of the outdoors and spent many summers camping with her kids and her siblings and their children. She loved to grow gardens every summer, and flower gardens as well, mainly roses. She also loved sewing, making quilts and toys for her children and grandchildren.

Richard passed away in 2007.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Buck; husband, Richard Gove; daughter, Connie Gove Brown; brother, William Buck Jr.; brother, Kenneth Wayne Buck; and sister, Verna Mae McCartney.

She is survived by her children, Bruce Gove, Rick Gove, Don Gove, Gary Gove, Linda Gove and Tammy Gove Munroe; her siblings, Vera Fuller of Washington, Wilma Galloway, Laura Jean Wilkes, David Buck, Jack Buck, Terry Buck, Jerry Buck and Linda Buck, all of the Flathead Valley; and numerous grandchildren and other family members.

Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at Central Bible Church, with the Rev. Ron Youde officiating. Burial will be in the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. There will also be a potluck gathering at Central Bible Church following the services.
