Woman unable to see road stripes

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received several reports Sunday from drivers northbound on U.S. 93 south of Kalispell regarding a vehicle that was all over the highway. The vehicle was stopped by Montana Highway Patrol and the driver was not drunk, but she was unfamiliar with the road and could not see the stripes.

There was a report of tires being slashed on a vehicle on Alpine Glow Avenue in the Whitefish area.

A person calling from Farm View Lane reported that his mailbox had been blown up.

A man called from a Birch Drive residence to report that he had been temporarily held prisoner by his ex-girlfriend. He was advised he would need to file a statement before action could be taken.

A woman calling from U.S. 2 East in the Hungry Horse reported that she had received more than a dozen harassing phone calls and text messages.

A woman called from First Avenue West in Martin City to report she had been assaulted and threatened by her sister.

A boy, 13, had to be restrained at the juvenile home on East Oregon Street Sunday, and he was later taken by Kalispell Police to the hospital and cited for assault and criminal mischief.

Someone calling from the 500 block of Fourth Avenue WN reported there was a large sink hole in a nearby alley that was about 12 feet wide and about two feet deep. The city’s public works department was sent to check it out.

Two teenage boys that were harassing ducks and squirrels with a metal pole in Woodland Park were picked up and taken to the police station for counseling at the request of their parents.

There was a report of a window vandalized with obscene graffiti on the 400 block of Liberty Street.

There was a report of an intoxicated man throwing his mother at a residence on the 1400 block of Western Drive. He was arrested on two counts of partner-family member assault and tampering with a communication device.

A woman called to report that a previous report she filed against a man for sexual assault is not true, and that the man was due to appear in court this week on the charge. The matter is under investigation.

There was a report of an intoxicated woman high-centering her vehicle between two businesses on the 1100 block of U.S. 2 West and abandoning it. Officer searched but could not locate the woman. The car was towed away.

Monday morning, a woman reported that she drove over a large bump on Fourth Avenue East near Third Street East, and that the bump damaged her oil pan.
