Owner cited after old man fights off dogs

A Kalispell Police Department officer cited the owner of two dogs that were reportedly seen jumping on top of an elderly man who was trying to beat them away with a stick on Ashley Drive Tuesday at about 2 p.m.

On West California Street, a caller reported seeing a man putting a young boy in a choke hold before taking him inside a house. An officer was unable to find the man. The caller said he saw the altercation through a rear-view window.

Officers escorted a man out of a bookstore on U.S. 93 North and told him not to return after he allegedly made inappropriate comments to several employees.

A report was filed after a teenage girl was allegedly assaulted by a teenage boy while at Glacier High School on Wolfpack Way.

Medical marijuana was found in a driveway near First Avenue East North and later confiscated by an officer.

A man was arrested after returning to a store on First Avenue East North where he had allegedly been recorded by surveillance cameras stealing beer in the past.

An unspecified assault was reported on Hutton Ranch Road Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Two teenage boys were arrested after apparently crashing a Ford Mustang into concrete steps at the hockey rink in Woodland Park at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. The boys initially ran from the scene but were later detained.

A woman was arrested after allegedly hitting another woman with a glass at a business on U.S. 93 South. The victim was taken to the Kalispell Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A burglary was reported at a business on West Center Street Wednesday at 10:40 a.m. when an employee noticed that someone had forced entry through a back door.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a deer stuck in a fence on Vista Bonita Drive. The deer was successfully removed from the fence and appeared to be fine.

Deputies counseled a family on North Hilltop Road near Columbia Falls after a 12-year-old girl allegedly began screaming, throwing things and threatening to kill her parents Tuesday at about 9:40 p.m.

A resident of West Valley Drive reported that a cat had been stuck in a tree for four days.

Suspicious activity was reported near U.S. 93 South in Lakeside where a caller said a man was carrying a bag full of bongs and paraphernalia.

Fraud was alleged on Montana 206 where a caller said someone had hacked into his or her Facebook and Yahoo accounts.

Criminal mischief was reported on Spring Creek Drive after a resident noticed a bullethole in a shed.

A deputy conducted a civil standby at a home on Shady Lane after a woman reported that when she arrived home she saw a man inside her house. The man was apparently there to get belongings.

A homeless man left a business on U.S. 2 East near Columbia Falls, but only after an employee called authorities to report the man was trespassing.

Two vehicles were seen racing on South Main Street Tuesday at about 8:40 p.m.

 Deputies were unable to find a man who allegedly threatened to fight several people at a business on U.S. 2 East in Evergreen.
