Carolyn Louise Anderson Scott, 90

Carolyn Louise Anderson Scott passed away on March 13, 2011, while in residence at Expressions Memory Care Home, in Columbia Falls.

She was born Sept. 9, 1920, to Charles and Lillian Grubbs, and raised in the Oakland, Calif., area.

In 1940 she met and married Jack Anderson, and together they dedicated their lives to the Lord. As a minister’s wife, she was able to help and guide so many people.

In 1975, after raising her children, Carolyn returned to college to obtain a degree in psychology. It was one of the highlights of her life, and she used her degree to council people in career changes.

After retirement, she and her husband traveled the U.S. in interim pastoral work for the Minister at Large program. She was able to see many different places and touch many lives across the country.

She lost her husband Jack in 1999, but was fortunate to find love a second time in life when she met Everett Scott, of Eureka. She and Everett were married in November of 2007. The enjoyed attending church, playing cards, singing, laughing, and spending time with family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Irving Grubbs; a sister, Arda Thomas; and husband, Jack Anderson.

She leaves behind her husband, Everett Scott, of Kalispell; her children, Nina Robart, and David and Suzie Anderson of Kalispell, and Skip and Mary Lynn Anderson of Billings; grandchildren, Shauna and Richard Cannady of Kalispell, Deanna Gibson of Sandy, Ore., Gary and Stephanie Anderson of Billings, Lisa and Bill Corrigan of Bend, Ore., and Jacob Anderson of Anchorage, Alaska; many great-grandchildren, and one new great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service for family and friends is being planned for later this spring.
