| March 22, 2011 3:00 AM

Fay Eleanor Robinson Searle passed away peacefully on March 17, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Seattle, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was 90 years old.

She had been living in Seattle for the past two years following the death of her husband, Elmer A. Searle.

Fay was born in Kalispell on Jan. 23, 1921, to Lillian and Stanley Robinson.

As a youth, Fay attended Flathead County High School and was a singer in a vocal group that performed in numerous locations throughout the Kalispell area. Throughout her life Fay developed her talents as an artist, painting numerous still works and landscapes that are enjoyed by her family.

Fay was active in her local congregation with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked diligently on family history and genealogy, compiling thousands of names of ancestors over many decades of work.

She is revered as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Fay and Elmer were the parents of four children, Galen, Carol, Janet and Jared. Her son Galen died as an infant, less than 1 week old. Her other children all reached maturity and have families of their own.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Stanley; her husband, Elmer; and son, Galen.

She leaves behind Carol and Russ Johnson of Seattle, Janet and John Sharp of Mililani, Hawaii, and Jared and Diana Searle of Everett, Wash. She is survived also by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. All of her loved ones will miss her sweetness and the vibrant love she had for her family.

A memorial service for Fay will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1380 Whitefish Stage Road in Kalispell.
