Sidney John Fetzer, 66

Sidney John Fetzer, 66, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011, at his home in Columbia Falls. 

He was born Dec. 29, 1944, in Sterling, Colo., to John and Carrie (Allen) Fetzer.

Sid was a longtime employee of Glacier National Park; he recently retired.

He was raised and lived in Colorado most of his life. He loved his family and life. He was a wonderful man who enjoyed the company of friends and family. He was loved so very much by all of his family and friends.

Sid's final wishes were to have his ashes spread over Rocky Mountain National Park, where he called home.

Sid is survived by his brother, Lester Fetzer, and sister, Bonnie, both of Boulder, Colo.; daughter, Tamra Means and her husband, Eric, of Des Moines, Iowa; daughter, Shawnda Ryan of Virginia Beach, Va.; sons, Aaron and Rowdie Fetzer of Columbia Falls; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a fund set up for his beloved little boy Rowdie Fetzer, and Sidney's grandchildren, P.O. Box 232, Columbia Falls, MT 59912.

Funeral services for Sidney will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 28, at Columbia Mortuary.
