Brawler admits he went too far

Kalispell Police Department officers responded to a fight at a bar on Airport Road where a man who had been punched by another man said that he deserved to be hit. The man said it was "a mutual thing" and that he had gone too far. He said he didn't want to press charges.

A woman didn't want to pursue charges after a friend reported that the woman's boyfriend had broken into her house on Third Avenue East and beaten her up.

The doors of a vehicle on Liberty Street were found open after someone reportedly rummaged through the vehicle.

Employees of a business on West Idaho Street reported that an intoxicated man was harassing customers. He was gone when officers arrived.

Officers looked for a gold Jeep after the driver allegedly stole several items from a store on U.S. 93 South at about 2 p.m. Saturday.

Suspicious activity was reported in the parking lot of a business on Hutton Ranch Road after two men were seen handling guns in a vehicle. The men were counseled by an officer on how to properly handle the guns, which had been purchased at a gun show.

A man was told not to return to a business on Commons Way after he reportedly told employees he was an undercover officer and asked about the location of a safe.

Officers searched for the driver of a white Toyota Rav-4 after a hit-and-run collision was reported on South Main Street.

A father on Commons Way was counseled after complaining that officers weren't doing anything about his intoxicated son.

An employee of a business on First Avenue East North reported suspicious activity after hearing a group of teenagers talk about an apparent fight between two "gangs."

There was no evidence of underage drinking on a sidewalk at the intersection of Sixth Street West and Sixth Avenue West after a caller reported juveniles were consuming alcohol in the area.

Disorderly conduct was reported at a bar on First Avenue West.

A woman on Glenwood Drive said she was dealing with a sick and crying baby after a neighbor complained about noise.

Someone slashed the tires of a vehicle parked on second Avenue West.

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office received a report of a physical disturbance on Blanchard Lake Road near Whitefish at 3:35 a.m. Sunday. Another physical disturbance reported on Managhan Lane outside Kalispell was unfounded.

Extra patrols were requested on Cemetery Road south of Kalispell, on Montana 35 near Bigfork and U.S. 2 East in Evergreen.

Trespassing was reported on Whalebone Drive.

Thefts were reported on Ptarmigan Road near Whitefish and on Foys Lake Road and Birch Drive outside Kalispell.

A fight was reported on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse.

A caller on Nicholson Drive reported receiving threats.

Suspicious activity was reported on Sharon Road.

Animal cruelty was alleged on Birch Grove Road.

Someone reported the theft of a vehicle on Kirby Lane in Bigfork.

Montana Highway Patrol troopers responded to a hit-and-run collision on Conrad Drive near the intersection of Collier Lane at about 2:16 a.m. Sunday. A second collision was reported at the same intersection at about 2:10 p.m. No injuries were reported.

There were also no injuries after a crash on Browns Meadow Road near the intersection of Smith Lake Road.

The Whitefish Police Department responded to a theft reported on Central Avenue.

Disorderly conduct was reported on Silverleaf Drive.
