Amorous activity too loud for neighbors

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to a noise complaint at an apartment complex on West Reserve Drive where a caller reported that an amorous neighbor’s sexual activity was loud enough to disturb the peace. A deputy visited the residence and advised a woman to “tone it down.”

A theft was reported on Columbia Meadows Drive where a woman accused a man of stealing an antique car intake manifold. The man returned the part to a third party who gave it to the woman after he learned he was a suspect. The woman declined to press charges.

Balloons set off a motion alarm at Marion School on Gopher Lane.

A man on Kila Road in Kila accused the county of taking part in a conspiracy after a couch was dumped in his driveway. He said it wouldn’t have happened if the county had a dump site in Kila.

A vehicle was reported stolen on Tamarack Lane near Columbia Falls.

Someone egged and toilet-papered a home on Brooks Drive and allegedly placed feces on the doorstep.

Two fans stolen on Preston Drive were found in a pawn shop.

Children on Second Street West North in Columbia Falls accused a man of stealing their dog. The man said he was asked to watch it.

Two horses were seen galloping down Montana 209 near Bigfork. They were rounded up and returned to their owner.

Someone stole a radar detector from a vehicle parked on Big Mountain Road outside Whitefish.

A man was arrested after allegedly slapping a woman during a domestic disturbance on U.S. 2 West outside Columbia Falls.

A cellphone charger was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Timber Lake Drive in Lakeside. Nothing else was missing from the vehicle, which was parked in a garage.

A Kalispell Police Department officer spoke with two women near Third Avenue West North and advised them of laws regarding disorderly conduct after they argued loudly over a parking space. One woman accused the other of colliding with her vehicle after asking her to move it. The officer determined there was no contact between the two vehicles.

Officers counseled a man at a bar on Woodland Park Drive who allegedly threatened another man for talking too loudly on his cellphone.

An 82-year-old man was “laughing and coherent” after being struck by vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Hutton Ranch Road at about 2:25 p.m. Monday. The disabled veteran reportedly was “hurting but not bleeding.”

Reckless driving was reported on East Oregon Street where a Subaru was seen traveling at a high rate of speed with its hazard lights on. An officer learned someone was having a stroke in the vehicle.

A woman on Jackson Peak Drive reported that her brother was threatening her over a child custody issue.

Suspicious activity was reported on First Street West after a woman found a man with a tool kit underneath her vehicle. He fled when she approached.

On First Avenue West, a parent reported that someone had opened a letter addressed to his or her daughter.

A ring was reported stolen on Heritage Way.

Someone reported a hit-and-run collision after a vehicle was rear-ended by a blue Chevrolet truck at the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Eighth Street East. The driver of the truck fled the area.

At a business on Commons Way, the owner reported the boyfriend of an employee called and made threats after her schedule was changed to include less hours.

A group of teenagers reportedly fled in a minivan after they were yelled at for throwing sandbags on Seventh Avenue West.

Someone used an explosive to blow up a mailbox on Sixth Avenue West.

A 4-year-old boy was returned to his mother after he was seen chasing a small dog at the intersection of First Avenue West and 12th Street West.

Suspicious activity was reported after a woman was seen taking pictures of a bank on Commons Loop.
