Sharon Dean Berg French, 69, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, in the comfort of her own home in Bigfork.
Sharon was born Aug. 4, 1941, in Eureka, the daughter of Laurence and Eloise Berg. She was raised in Devon and Fortine. She attended grade school in Fortine, high school in Eureka and Flathead Valley Community College.
Sharon worked as a mother, camp cook in the Bob Marshall, and was a bartender. Mom played the accordion and sang country-western music. She crocheted and knitted gifts for family. She made stuffed animals, doilies, baby sweaters and hats.
She was also very talented with pencil art sketching. Mom also enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and canoeing. She loved the outdoors.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Laurence Berg in 1967, and Eloise Berg in 2000; sister, Patsy Belcher, in 1993; nephew, Jim Hammons, in 1999; cousin, Lynn Ann Holder, in 2011; grandson, Kristopher Jones, in 2010; and grandson, JC Watt, in 2010.
Sharon is survived by her children, Taimi Lynn McCully of Kila, Roger Laurence “Skip” Libby of Marion, Leah Jestine Bolt-Britton of Kalispell, Sherina Helen Whitford of Cut Bank, and Ronald Russell “Rusty” Libby of Arizona; 11 grandchildren, Gary, Orville and Jennifer McCully, Benjamin, Nicholas Bolt, and Scott Bolt Jr., Anne and Holly Whitford, Shawn Libby, Kristopher Jones and Corey Knudsen; 10 great-grandchildren, Cole, Reilly, Desiree, Donald, and Lilliaunna McCully, Gavin and Winter Watt, Jersey and Kolby Jones, and Alyssa Rudie; sister, Janis Hammons, and husband, John Roberts; sister, Pam Eaton, and husband, Terry; brother, Larry Berg; and other aunts, uncles and cousins.
