Seeking three-year term on FVCC board representing Columbia Falls, Bigfork, Whitefish high school districts.

Occupation: CEO of Climate Physics, LLC; senior climate expert for Stand Up America.

Background/Education: B.S. in engineering from California Institute of Technology, M.S. in physics from Dartmouth, Ph.D. in physics from the University of Montana. Former chief scientist of airborne research facility at Desert Research Institute. Former program manager, weather modification, National Science Foundation’s Research Applied to National Needs.

Reason for Running: Berry said he wants to bring new blood to the board along with his advanced degrees. He alleges the college has not followed all Montana laws in trustee elections, including notifications. He supports preparing students for private business and entrepreneurship. Berry advocates teaching students how to think, not what to think.
