Robert Nystuen

Seeking re-election to three-year term representing the Flathead/Glacier High School District on FVCC board.

Occupation: President, Glacier Bank

Background/Education: B.S. from the College of Agriculture of North Dakota State University and a graduate school of banking. He spent more than 30 years in banking. Nystuen has served as a college trustee since 2002 and has been elected chairman twice. He volunteers on the board of the Flathead Food Bank and is active with several business organizations.

Reason for Running: Nystuen said he wants to continue the recipe for success that has achieved national recognition for the faculty and student body, pristine audits and phenomenal growth at the college. He emphasizes continuing business partnerships and finding financial assistance for students who need it.

He describes trustees as the eyes and ears of the community and accountable to the community.
