Athletes from Bigfork, Flathead, Glacier and Libby high schools will play in the 12th annual Shodair Soccer Classic in Helena this summer.

Players selected are: Caitlin Charlebois, Bigfork; Stephanie Brewer, Chelsea Shuman and Hunter Madich of Flathead; Liana Bates, Patty Hughes and Brad Holmgren of Glacier and Cree Maloney of Libby.

The girls and boys games will be played July 23 at 5 and 7 p.m., respectively.

Participants will arrive in Helena on July 20 for practice and to participate in other activities.

This event honors the best senior student/athletes from all classes. To play in the Classic, individuals must have been named to all-state or all-conference teams. Also involved in the selection process are academic achievement, leadership and citizenship.

The Shodair Classic raises money for Shodair Children's Hospital.

Thirty-three boys were selected to play in the Classic and 34 girls.
