McLean, Eaves combine on no-hitter for Lakers
Matt McLean and Dillon Eaves combined on a no-hitter and Joe Pistorese ripped a grand slam home run in the second inning as the Kalispell AA Lakers downed visiting Libby 11-1 on Tuesday in American Legion nonconference baseball play.
McLean went five innings, fanning 11 and walking four.
Eaves had five strikeouts in the final two innings.
Eaves also homered to left field in the sixth inning with one runner aboard. He injured his wrist in his last at-bat when he was struck with a fastball. He is expected to miss three weeks.
Pistorese's slam was to right field.
Kalispell (2-1 overall) had 10 hits in the contest.
