COLUMBIA FALLS - The undefeated Bitterroot Blaze had just enough offense and plenty of defense to hand the Glacier Knights a loss on Saturday.

The Blaze defeated the Knights 24-18 in Rocky Mountain Football League action.

Glacier falls to 2-2.

Glacier's backup quarterback Phil Heimerl filled in late in the game and finished 5-for-10 for 87 yards and two TD passes, both to Levi Walker. Walker had five catches for 65 yards and three scores. His first was a touchdown catch from quarterback Jeff Greenwell in the third quarter, which was Glacier's first score. Greenwell finished 5-for-13 for 36 yards. He was sacked five times and Heimerl was sacked twice.

Running back Mike Kuehne had 118 yards on 19 carries. Receiver Dan Holguin had four catches for 51 yards. On defense, Kyle Holloway led with six tackles, forced a fumble and recovered one.
