Lakers split in Bozeman

BOZEMAN - Kalispell broke a 4-all tie with a 3-run fifth inning to beat the Bozeman Bucks 7-4 on Saturday in Class AA American Legion baseball action.

Joe Pistorese led off the fifth inning with a double and scored on a RBI single by Louis Freudenburg.

Freudenburg and Mike Bare, who reached on a fielder's choice, both scored on errors to complete the scoring.

Pistorese, who picked up the victory in relief duty, also went 2-for-4.

Pistorese and Dillon Matteson both doubled for the Lakers.

Kalispell (3-2) also played the Billings Scarlets, losing 10-0.

The Scarlets beat Bozeman 12-4.
