Flathead passes Libby in track

LIBBY - Flathead's relay teams for boys and girls turned in impressive times in one last meet before the Western AA divisional.

In an annual dual with Libby on Friday, the Braves short relay team won in 44.86; the long relay won in 3:36.86. Both times are season bests.

The Braves won the dual, 95-56, thanks to 11 first-place finishes.

Kody Berget of Libby continued his excellence in the hurdle events, sweeping with top times in the state. He won the 110 hurdles in 15.76 and the 300 in 40.03.

For girls, the Bravettes' short relay team clocked 54.02 and the long relay came in at 4:06.10.

Kwyn Johnson and Briana Patyk were double winners leading Flathead to a 100-45 win.

Johnson swept the hurdles and Patyk won both the high and triple jumps.

Mechelle Wilson of Libby won both the 200 and 400.
