Mary Ann Stuker, 67, of Eureka, passed away at Kalispell Regional Medical Center on May 10, 2011, following a difficult battle with cancer.

Mary was born on March 13, 1944, in Cando, N.D., to George and Esther Clemo.  She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Leon Steinke, near McVille, N.D., where she completed school and married Pete Lemer. They gave birth to their son Paul in McVille, moving to Montana shortly afterward, where she gave birth to their daughter, Leann.

Mary experienced life to the fullest, working and traveling on the West Coast with her children, spending time in the Tacoma, Wash., area and nearly 10 years in Sitka, Alaska.

She enjoyed her job as a bartender and had several hobbies, including playing sports, riding motorcycles, playing pool and cooking. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed catering throughout her life. Large family dinners, holidays and social functions were a highlight for her, and she loved to throw wonderful parties for family and friends. Her family was always a huge priority for her, coming first and foremost in all that she did.

She married Gary Stuker and they started her Skyline Catering business and restaurant, fulfilling a lifelong dream for her. In recent years, she spent her time working in Hungry Horse and catering small functions in the Eureka area.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George and Esther Clemo; and stepfather, Leon Steinke; as well as her husband, Gary Stuker.

She is survived by her son, Paul Lemer, and wife, Pamela, of Havre; and daughter, Leann Lemer, of Eureka; as well as her grandchildren, Candice Middleton, Katrin Baney, Jacquelyn Lemer and Courtney Lemer, all of Eureka, Kayli Lemer of Sitka, and Emily and Matthew Lemer of Havre.

Mary is also survived by her siblings, Barbara Skramstad, of Renton, Wash., Doug “Bud” Clemo and Kate of Jamestown, N.D., Robert Clemo and Dee of Troutdale, Ore., Jeff Steinke and Debbie of Grand Forks, N.D., Creech and Mark of McVille, and Nadine Hansen and Ronnie of Devils Lake, N.D.; numerous nieces and nephews, and her extended family, including Dan and Ron Lemer of Eureka.

Memorial services were held May 14 at First Baptist Church in Eureka.
