Helmet used for target practice

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a man who said another man took his helmet and used it for target practice, apparently shooting a hole through it in a yard on Trumble Creek Road.

A man calling from Dorothy Street in the Columbia Falls area reported that another man was using his pit bulls in a threatening way, and it has been an ongoing issue.

There was a report of a burglary at a home that has had recent construction activity on Seventh Avenue East in Kalispell. A table saw, nail gun and compressor were taken.

There was a report of a man driving a blue sedan who used bolt cutters to steal a bike at a school on Helena Flats Road. There was another bicycle reportedly in the trunk of the car.

There was a report on Ridgewood Drive involving a man and woman yelling at each other and then one of them yelling at the reporting party.

There was a report of a dirt bike being stolen from a Helena Flats Road residence.

A jewelry box and an XBox game console were reported stolen in a burglary at a Lake Blaine Drive residence.

A man calling from North Hilltop Road reported $50 had been stolen from his home, and he suspected his juvenile children did it. He requested that a deputy speak with his kids.

There was a report of someone dumping seven bags of garbage in a ditch off Whalebone Drive, and the caller suspected a woman he knows did it.

Early Monday, there was a domestic disturbance call from Electric Avenue in Bigfork that resulted in a man and woman being separated for the night.

Kalispell Police got a burglary report Sunday involving individuals who got into the old Gateway West Mall, digging up flower beds, scattering things and possibly attempting to start a fire.

There was a report of license plates being stolen from a vehicle on Sixth Avenue East.

A woman reported that her intoxicated husband had been shoving her and other people around at a home on Ninth Avenue West.

There was a report involving two intoxicated men who were refusing to leave an address on North Meridian Road. That resulted in the two being cited for being minors in possession of alcohol.

Monday, there was a report of a man with a head injury that affected his judgment leaving Kalispell Regional Medical Center without being discharged. He left a note saying he needed to catch a bus in Whitefish. Hospital staff located him a few miles north along U.S. 93 and attempted to talk him into going back to the hospital.
